I have no idea what has gone wrong here.. I am attempting to recompile a single file change in an .msi that has been in circulation for some time. This was last compiled a month ago and has not been touched since and now when compiling all of the .msm are throwing a similar error

Table Merge problem in table '_Validation' for row 'TypeLib'
Table Merge problem in table '_Validation' for row 'Module Dependency'
Table Merge problem in table '_Validation' for row 'Feature'
Table Merge problem in table '_Validation' for row 'ModuleComponents'

and so on....I have removed all .msm and recompiled which works fine, but if I add even one back it errors.

The source path has not change, the drive has not change nothing.

Anyone with any thoughts? I would appreciate any little crumbs at this point.

I have even pulled and old .msi from an archive and this also fails.

Sorry meant to mention I am and have been WFWI 3.52 for over a year now with no problems

Have you tried converting it from msi to wsi ?
Could your source paths to the merge modules be wrong ?

Just came by this post on accident, and I have learned by using WFWI 4.2 that suppressing these Merge Module errors does not harm your installation.

To suppress these errors, do the following:

1.) Go to the Edit Menu and choose Preferences.
2.) Click on the General tab if it is not already displayed.
3.) In the compiler options section, deselect the option to 'display error if merge modules conflict with main installation rows'.
