Merge 2 Seagate Info Installations

Hi List,

Currently we have 2 Seagate Info installations running on 2 different sites, we need to merge these installations so we can run all the reports from 1 Info server.

It would seem that in order to do this you'd need to copy all the Input and Output directories from one server to the other and then somehow merge the 2 Cinfo.mdb databases into one. Has anyone got any experience of doing this ? ( is this in fact a good idea in the first place ).

Also one of the CINFO.MDB files is around 270MB in size which from reading the Seagate how to's is well over the recommended size for this DB. Is there any way of reducing the size of the DB ?
 
I haven't worked with SI for quite some time, is there an Import utility?

In Access you can use Tools->Database Utilities->Compact and Repair Database to shrink a database.

Make sure that you back it up first, Access isn't the most reliable database...
