Hello everybody,
Just the other day I've installed Mercury Server and I use Squirrelmail as client. My question is: I don't have a domain ( just a plain ip-number. Therefore I can't have an email adress like you@example.com, but I thought 'me@213.10.135.xxx' may work as well. It didn't.
During installation of Mercury Server I was asked if I had a own domain and if not, to put my ip adres between bracklets(?), something like [..]. So I thought: this must be of some use!
So the question is: Is there a way to configure Mercury to except mail from user@ipadres and if so: how should i do this? BTW, sending mail is no problem, except i send mail as postmaster@example.com, well i might fix this sooner or later.
My configuration: Windows 2000 professional, apache, php, firewall with necessary ports enabled, mercury, squirrelmail.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Stefan
