Mercury 3.32 with Pop3 and SMTP Relay Clients mounted on Win 2K server.
Pegasus V4.01 mounted on individual local network machines.
Mercury server used to poll 3 remote pop3 boxes and SMTP relay on single remote host. Mail from 2 boxes distributed to dedicated local boxes, Mail from 3rd box (default on remote host) distributed to local boxes based on user name.
Local boxes polled by Local Users via Pegasus 4.01 mounted on individual local machines. No alternate identies for local users.
System has been fairly stable for the last 6 months. Recently have found we are getting multiple duplicate messages in local boxes. Not all received messages are duplicated but the ones that are, can produce up to 6 copies of the message. Each copy is found in the users box as a seperate CNM file. Message ID in the headers are the same in
each duplicate file.
Session Logs indicate the Pop3 Module is only downloading one message which is being written to the appropriate local Mail\username box as multiple files.
Have made no further progress in defining the problem at this time, question posted to Mercury MailList as well. Any suggestions for resolution or tracking down the cause appreciated prior to the decision of doing a total clean reinstall of Mercury.
