Merchant Account and CC Processing

Could anyone give me some advice on the best place for a Merchant account and Credit Card Processing. Cheaper the better but quality and service is key. Hope you have some places. I was looking at Verisgin, and it seems good. Just starting it out so will not need a lot of transactions. 1-1000 at start probably. All advice appreciated. thanks
