Hi,

We are using Mercator ( in conjunction with SAP ). Recently we upgraded to Mercator ver 6.0. We are finding that the event server crashes atleast 4 times a day. We have a feeling that whenever the number of IDocs passed is more than 3000, it crashes.

Would like to know if anyone here is using Mercator ver 6.0 with SAP, and has faced the same problems...??

Rgds,
Rk.

6.0 was a very unstable release. Use 6.5.2 or 6.7.1

Hi Janhes,

Thanks for the reply. But currently we are still facing problem after the upgradation to 6.7.1 , One of the ideal
scenario is below..this puts is in lot of issues..

In our system, SAP is integrated with all other subsystems.
Whenever more than 2500 Idocs dispatched from SAP,
the connection gets closed in the gateway and also
that the event server gets crashed.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

6.7.x is very sensitive to configuration and map settings. how big are the 2500 IDOCs? How much RAM on the machine? What are your mercator.ini settings? This type of issue should be reported to Ascential Support.

did you try mercator.ini settings as per Improving Event Server thread?

6.0 has a number of problems that could cause core dumps or GPFs. Problems in SAP adapter, Resouce manager and connections manager. Do not use 6.0 unless you like a lot of Pain.
