Menu screen scolls when upgrading on a J30

When trying to do an upgrade on a J30 the menu options keep scrolling, and the only way to read the menu options is by using the pause/break key. Any ideas how I can stop this???

Hi

Is this a seriell Terminal ( Ascii Screen ) ?
When you make the installation, is the Problem the same, when the Machine came up ?
Check the Configuration of the Terminal.
9600 / 8 Bit....
