Menu question

Ok, I'm a Filemaker newbie. I have a menu and a couple of databases. The menu is a seperate database file. I want buttons on the menu to open up the databases in new windows. Is this possible? It seems like it should be very possible and easy to do, but I can't figure to get anything to go.

If this isn't possible, then does that mean I have to have all my databases in one single file that contains the menu and databases?

Make a script calling a script in the file you want.
The latter will go to the layout youwant, check refresh window and bring to front.
