I have a drop down menu (actually it's a drop-up menu) and that works. I also have a title bar that I want to expand to match the width of the menu when it appears. I've tried numerous things (even attempted to dynamically increase the hit area of the button/title bar), but can't even seem to get close. I know this is confusing so I'll post a link. You'll notice it appears to work until you move your mouse to one of the menu items. I know the links don't work--this is really only a mock up anyway.

So what's the question?
You want the title bar to stay extended as long as the menu is up and visible?

From who did you pick up this script?
Did you notice it studders, when the mouse in below the title bar?

Downloading now and will have a look at your .fla later.

Yeah that's it. I want it to work with the menu, i.e. when menu is up, I want the title bar to stay visible.

The original script is BigBadDave's I believe.

Yeah I noticed the stutter, it's not my main concern right now. I'm assuming that all I have to do is to make an extention on the menu so the mouse is never off of it.

This is about 80% theoretical and 20% practical. I thought I had learned enough to make this addition, but I guess not. :( It's a challenge I set for myself and for the life of me I can't get it to work. I did manage to get the bar to jerk into place, but it wouldn't move after that.

The .fla that you posted doesn't seem to correspond to the posted .swf.
Although the bar clip (reversing button5) is in the library, there's is no instance of it on stage, and I can't find any coding regarding it.
Can't you make the good .fla available?
