hi,

we just got a partner phone system with partner mail vs4.

i reset the voicemail system to factory defaults and now i am trying to set the auto attendant menu prompts. I have gone throuth the process about ten times and i get the same resultes each time. The default AA menu prompt is always played. I have been very careful to go through the entire process insuring that i hear the recording "you changes have been saved and applied" and then I back out of the system using *#. I have even tried rebooting the systems. all to no avail.

we have 2 line cards so I am trying to set menu prompt 1, 1.

Are you by chance programming the night att. and not the day?

day mode.

After you change the Day Menu Prompt you press *# to approve it then # to approve and save all changes. Then just hang up.

i have tried that also, to no avail.

When you assign the lines to be answered by the AA in #206 - group 7, make sure it says 1 assigned, not 3 VMS cover.

When you go into the Day menu press 23 for play back and see if you new recording is there, if it is then you have other programming issues such as line assignment that exsmogger said.
