Menu gone in Corel PhotoPaint (thread240-1244832)

The thread has two suggestions not useful for me, but it is now closed, so I post here what worked for me:

The problem was that the entire top menu was missing in Corel PhotoPaint, and reinstalling didn't work. Here is what fixed my PP8 on Win98SE:

Start PP
Right click top toolbar
Choose Customize
Choose Workspace/Customize/Menus
Click Reset-button
and the menus return
