Menu Bar ShortCuts 1

Major , urgent help needed! My menu bar displays the shortcutkeys in the visual c++ edito, but when I run the program the shortcut keys never display.I am using "&" sign ,is there any property or method I must call or set.
any help appreciated.

FYI for all people interested.solved.
Windows NT does not have a problem displaying these shortcuts,but Windows 2000 will not display them until you change your computer settings.

Windows 2000 and XP (and probably Win ME as well) standard settings does not show those lines. You have to change the properties.

Fix:
Windows 2000
Open the display settings, choose register 'Effects', then unmark the bottom checkbox called 'Hide keyboard navigation indicators until I use the Alt key'.
