I am using a user derfined menu, and the Alt+? keys only work on the menu items that have a "Command" as the result. They do not work on the menu items that have "Submenu" in the result column.

Any ideas?

Sam

That could work, it's just not ideal, as ALT alone already activates the menu itself, the main menu pads, so menu BARs (or menu items) should be assigne hotkeys with CTRL+something. Fn Keys are also fine, especially F1 for help as one standard.

Also note ON KEY LABEL definitions are prioritized.

Bye, Olaf.

I use the standard code:
\<Printing
but Alt+P does nothing. Clicking on it does open the print menu.

It works fine on some of my other apps. I am trying to determine where I may have done something different to cause this.

Sam

In that case ALT, then P would select that menu. If you want to have real key shortcuts, go into the options of a menu item and assign the key there.

Create a new menu and then choose "Quick Menu", you'll see the print menu item will not just have \<Print, but also have CTRL+P assigned as key label.

Also notice it's CTRL+P, that's the usual hotkey. As said ALT is unfortunate.

Bye, Olaf.

Thanks all. I understand it a bit better now.
