My OMM 5.0 fails during the “get configuration…” seems that it fails in getting the system parameters on my O350 03.00.09-01. The comm. audit shows it pulling Menu 1-2 and pressing a 7 in the “Primary System Manager Mailbox:” Then bombing out!

I gave up on OMM, in hopes that I could get the database manually…

I pulled the mailboxes from Menu 16, and I was looking for the database type, I don’t know what file extension to use. I would like to open the file with MS Access. I’ve read in a previous thread that Decision Pro is a tool that works. Anyone able to steer me in the right direction?

I could use help with my OMM failure, or some help with opening up the file that I’ve transferred from the O350 to my workstation.

The file is not a database file, it is a binary file that you can't load into a database directly.

On the OMM, it should be going to menu 12-7. It could be that the terminal type, or communications settings are not correct.

It should be going to menu 13 and then 7 to make sure you are licensed to use OMM.

Post a screen shot of menu 13 7 both pages so we ca tell if it is turned on or not. Or post the com audit file so we can see where it is hanging at.

Thanks for the responses. Do you think that the version of Aria s/w is too old for OMM 5? You can see where the Octel has a second screen of parameters, and OMM presses a "7" instead of viewing that screen.

Very odd i have not seen one act like this. I have used omm 5 on Aria's with out any issues. It may be the CD you have or some other problem. Did you get the OMM with the new MM system?

I assume you are trying to get a list to import into The new MM system right? Or some other system?

It maybe that your terminal is not passing the "send" key which is ^[7. I have seen this on other systems, where the terminal server or some other device strips out the ^[ and all you get is the 7. I have the same issue with one site that telnet into, I can't use the "send" key because the ^[ is stripped off. You can try a direct connect, or try changing the terminal type to vt100 on both the OMM and the voicemail system.

I am trying it out right now with 5.4.0 on a Aria to make sure i don't have any issues. It could be that the smt is set to the wrong emulation like kxboy said. I will let you know

Thanks, I plan to try OMM via a direct connect as my next step. I'll provide an update once the results are in.

The 5.4 worked fine by modem connection and Wyse 50 emulation

Resolved.

The direct connection worked fine!

The OMM was able to "Get Configuration" once I was connected via a serial cable.

Thanks!
