I currently administor a RedHat Linux v7.2 server which currently runs the following:
apache web server (max 10 servers, with 20 spare)
perl, sendmail, HTML
MySQL database server
Now, the usage of this server is not huge, the database is relatively compact too however I am sitting at 97% memory usage (of a total of 768MB) ... looking at the running processes then there would not be anything unexpected running like a broken script. Performance wise it seems OK for now.
I was wondering if there are any commands to do the following:
* check memory usage for running apps
* re-allocate or free up resource
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
SP
