Memory Upgrade

Greetings Folks,

I'm considering upgrading my memory and was wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of performance boost, if any, I could expect. I have a 1.7Ghz laptop with 2x256Meg DDR SODIMM 200Mhz and want to replace it with same but 266Mhz sticks. Would I notice much of an increase?

I took a suggestion from a previous post and went to and found the price to be very attractive. Don't remember who posted it but my thanks to them.
