Memory Test Fail----HELP

My Win98 machine has an error when booting.
"Memory Test Fail"
F1 to continue and I get it into "Safe Mode"
and its says "HIMEM.SYS has detected unreliable XMS Memory.
Can someone PLEASE Help

You could also try reseating your memory before shelling out for any;
remove the ram and then re-install it. Nogs

If you have more than one memory stick installed, try taking out all but the one in #1 slot. Reboot and see what happens. If you still get the message, try replacing the stick with another you had installed until the message disappears(if it does). If your memory has been installed for a long while, try gently rubbing the contacts with a pencil erasor, this sometimes will remove corrosion...but make sure the stick is free of any erasor particles before reinstalling.
most likely, you will have to get new memory sticks.
don't skimp, buy good quality....
