When windows 98 boots up and nothing else is running but explorer.exe, virus scan program and some small utils, The error occurs "low on memory resources".

This is a P 800 machine with 128 mb and only windows 98 installed with some default applications, this shouldn't be happening with a machine only 1 jear old?

Is this a motherboard driver problem?
Is the ram corrupt?
Virtual memory/ram problem?

I do not have the sllightest clue, and really want to enjoy my (pretty) new computer.

If anyone has an idea/solution or tip I can forward to the Packerd Bell helpdesk or do something about it
myself it would really help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Jacob Cats

How many icons are in the taskbar, by the clock?
Any more than 3, and it's overloaded.
There are a couple of excellent FAQ's in the windows 95/98 forum you should read, explaining all this, and how to change things the way you want. Cheers,
Jim
