We have two citrix servers XPa, both configured identical. The servers are load balanced per user. One of the servers drops off the network every couple of days. This seems to be due to a memory/page file overload. I have increased the page file. I have also changed the network card to see if that had any effect. The servers run a remote desktop where users have access to XP office and IBS systems. This is only happening on one server. Can anyone advise???

Schedule a regular reboot. We have citrixservers in our company that we reboot every night. Your problem sounds like using a leaky application (who leaves orphan threats/processes running).

Before rebooting server go into TAsk Manager and see which process is using all the memory. This should help to identify the problem.

For example we had many problems with wfshell.exe on MF 1.8 and the problem was resolved for XP but if an upgrade is done instead of a clean install the problem can still exist becasue certain files don't get properly deleted during the upgrade.

I have scheduled a reboot every other night to see if this helps. I will up the schedule to every night once I have discovered the problem.

Thanks to All!!
