I have a client with a Memory Minimum Too Low issue, is this caused by to many programs running? Also if I were to change it what would you suggest? With 256 mb ram what would be a good minimum and maximum and also if they were running 512 the minimum and maximum.
Thanks in advance

First, are you referring to system RAM or Virtual Memory? You should also post your OS to avoid confusion.

I will go out on a very short limb and say that 256MB might have been OK for Win98, but a modern XP system should have a minimum of 512 or 1 GB RAM. I think the sweet spot right now is 2GB for a power user.

That, however, may not be the problem. Virtual Memory is another critter. That's what Lemon13 is referring to I believe.

XP Pro will run with no issues at 256 MB. It's faster and smoother with more RAM, but it will work.

Can you post the exact error message?

iblearnen,
In addition to telling us the version of Windows, also tell us what programs he/she is running.

Adjusting the amount of "virtual memory" likely won't help, as Windows generally sets the max size at 1.5 times the amount of RAM by default, which is perfectly fine.

It could be an issue with one of the programs, or perhaps like you said, having too many open for long periods of time.
