Memory Management in Unix

Hi,

I need a script that should report (trigger email) me when the particular process takes more than 50% of available memory/ CPU utilization of my total available free memory/CPU. Basically i want to avoid any process that getting down or hanging before it gets completed.

What have you tried so far and where in your code are you stuck ?
BTW, do you know the sar utilities ?
