Hi,

Wondering how I resolve this issue. Event viewer reports:

"A significant part of sql server process memory has been paged out. This may result in a performance degradation. Duration: 921 seconds. Working set (KB): 1685132, committed (KB): 3333860, memory utilization: 50%%."

Environment: Windows 2003 64bit SP2 with 8GB of memory; SQL 2005 standard edition.

I've done some google searches without any luck.

Thanks,

Jeremy

hmmmmm....do you have any processes running on your sql server that don't seem right??? It's possible you have some recurssive query that's stuck building a ridiculously large result set. If I'm reading the error correctly, you've got about a 4 GB resultset goin on atm.

If you do have a loop going on, killing the process should fix it(if not, you could restart the server...power cycling a box does a lot of good). If you don't have a loop...and that result set is normal, I'd consider doing some performance measurements to see if it's a problem, and possibly upgrade equipment/add servers.

im in ur stakz, overflowin ur heapz!

Only thing running on this server is SQL.

I'll need to investigate further, I guess, the recursive query. Any ideas on how to determine the misbehaving query?

Thanks,

Jeremy
