Memory issue, Tivoli dm engine

Hi

i have a box with OS level 5.1-03. The memory is over utilised and I found the cluprit is the Tivoli DM engine. killing the dm engine frees up plenty of memory, the tivoli team state that the java version is 1.3.1, this version should be compatible with RML8 and have advised me to upgrade.
Is this correct or is it the tivoli dm engine bug?
