Iam encountering the mssg "There isn't enough free memory to update the display. Close uneeded programs and try again" when trying to run a simple report that uses a small table as its source for data. The machine has 64 meg and is not running any other appl when this occurs. It will, however run ok on a diff machine (the one that crated the report to bgin with which has 28 meg). Are there total d/b size issues that I need to be aware of ??? This has also happended in another report in another db that I have developed. The client machines are running NT 4.0 with MS current service pack installed.
Any help would be appreciated ...

Thanks

If you are using NT workstation 4.0 then you need 128 meg of Ram to run Office '97.
I think there is a typo in your post that say's one machine has 28 meg of ram, does it have 128?
Yes you will get an out of memory issue. Re-boot the machine in question.
After it comes back up close all un-necessary programs and re-run the report.
Also are you using a query to run the report.
Try running it by-itself. Do you get same error
Does it take a long time to process teh query?
If so then maybe look at reducing the number of tables.
theings tend to slow down if you have 3 or more tables in your query.

Also see how much FREE hardisk space you have.
If this is slim you'll get same error.
NT pages to the hardisk when Memory is full.
Our standard NT machine is PIII 500 with 128-256 meg RAM today.
thanks for the post Doug.
Yes that was a typo - the machine that works has 128 meg. Also, Iam not using a query to generate the report and the table only has about 32 rows in it (very small). I did reboot and retry to no avail on the 64 meg machines ...
