Memory could not be "read". HELP!!

I have a user that is trying to print a pdf with acrobat 4.0. Everytime he tries to print he gets an error message saying "The instruction at "xxxxxxxx" referenced memory at "xxxxxxxx" The memory could not be read". Do you guys or gals have any idea on how to correct this?

I am having the same problem when opening pdf files in IE. I go to close the window, and IE crashes. Advice anyone?
