I've got NT4.0 server with 2GB RAM. It's primarily an MS-SQL server, with a few small apps runnig on the side. I need to know if and how I can allocate memory (say 256MB) to NT and the rest to SQL and the side apps. I'm afraid NT is grabbing up more RAM than it needs and it's causing SQL to lag a little. MonkeyLizard,

Check your SQL server documentation. If memory serves (it's been quite a while) you can tune the SQL server to reserve the amount of memory, disk space, etc you need to run correctly.

Hope that helps some,

Andrew
