I have a report with several memo fields of various lengths. I want to have a box around them. I can put the line color to black on this memo field and that works except that the text scrunches too close to the left side of the line. I've checked out the solutions on other websites for putting a line box around it but I was wondering if there is any way to get a box around a memo field without having to write a whole new program. As always, thanks very much for all your help.

Hmmmmmmm,

I don't know of any simple / canned soloution to the line draw bit. I do know of an alternative approach which may be of use. Just set the backcolor. Depending on the details of the layout of your report, you may set all or some of the controls with your memo fields backcolor to the lightest color which actually shows up on your printer. For instance, if several memo fields appear adjacent in a column w/o intervening white space, just alternaqte the light background w/ a white one. If they are horizontally adjacent, leave a small 'gutter' of white and make all of the backcolors the light color.

Personally, I think the background changes look better anyway.
