memo fields and chr(27) in paradox 7

I need to put chr(27) in a memo field with objectPal. I have tried something like this:<br><br>field = &quot;string&quot; + chr(27) + &quot;string&quot;<br><br>but it doesn't work.<br><br>If the field type es Alphanumeric, it works fine<br><br>Does anyone know how to do it with a memo field?<br><br>Thanks<br><br>

In the context of a memo field PAL expressions and functions do not work; it's plain ASCII.&nbsp;&nbsp;However, you can use Esc-sequences in a memo-field as in&nbsp;&nbsp;\027\n&nbsp;&nbsp;to force a line feed.&nbsp;&nbsp;The escape-sequence should always start with&nbsp;&nbsp;\027.

The placed ESC-codes will always be visible in a memo-field.
