I have a pop-up form with a memo field on it. The user enters information about a specifc record. For some reason, on one record only, the field is not enabled and no new text can be entered nor existing text changed. For every other record it works OK. It's not a big problem, but I'm baffeled by what caused this. It's well under the size capacity of a memo field.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Try importing your db into a new db and then Compact and Repair. It could be some form of corruption.

I agree with Allan. Individual records can become corrupt, and because of their unique nature, memo fields seem particularly prone to this.

If Allan's suggestion doesn't work, although it frequently does, you might try copying the data, deleting the record and then re-creating the record, using the copied data.

Compact and repair didn't work. Recreating the record probably would, but the user said it wasn't that critical so I'll let it go at that.

Thanks for the response
