I have a Windows 2003 domain. I recently installed a second server as a member server. We are using this server for an archive server. I have a folder with scanned documents in it and I want domain users to have access to this folder. When a user accesses the folder it promts for a user name and password. How can I tell the member server to use domain credentials for user access?

Did you add the server to your domain? Usually we don't see that pop-up credentials box unless the box isn't part of the domain, or the user is in a domain that is different from the server.

Good luck,

I joined the member server to the domain. I go to Active Directory User and Computers, and the computer is listed in the computers group. I go to the users group on the member server and the Domain users is listed in that group. I can access the domain controller from the member server. I can log onto the member server with domain admin rights.
?????

Have you granted the users the required access to the share?
