member of Administrators Group

We have a new user Bob Smith "bsmith", and we want him to have admin privileges. I added bsmith to "Administrators" users group. But it seems to be working.

I typed "gpresult" and it shows that user is not a part of "Builtin/Administrator"

I also tried "gpedit /force" too.

What am i missing.

Please explain

Is there a group policy that sets the members of the admins group in effect? Restricted Groups.
