Hi All,

Has anyone come across this issue on 7.65, cant seem to find anything about it?

MEM224 Memory corruption, extra tail length incorrect :

blockprt: 9397FD2, current size: 2, correct size: 2, after tail: 0

Thank you.

All I could find was what you had

Memory corruption: extra tail length incorrect. Two memory blocks in
the free memory list are detected with block sizes out of order. The
incorrect block is undetermined. Recovery has been performed to avoid
corruption, but may have caused a loss of free memory. If memory was
lost it will not be recovered until the next system initialization or
reload.

About a year ago we saw that on one of our Option 81's. It was in the history and appeared to coincide with a thunderstorm that had passed the previous evening. A ticket with Avaya got us the advice that an ini was in order (duh. Even the error message said that). Never got a good explanation of what it meant beyond being told that the switch didn't like something about the data it was processing so it truncated some data.

We didn't see anything else out of the ordinary happening so we scheduled an ini for the next maintenance window (almost a week out). Restarted and never really saw any problem beyond the MEM224 message.

Thank you Firebird and Wanebo, looks like we need an ini then.
