Unfortunately the .MEM file format is "proprietary" and has changed over the years. You should NEVER use it for long term data storage - that's what .DBFs are for. You should keep data in a .MEM file for temporary storage and not expect it to be valid if you upgrade FP or use different versions of FoxPro / VFP to access this data.
