HI,

We are having a bit of a strange issue with meeting requests not tracking on some emails both internal and external.

Example.

I invite a colleague to a meeting (both on the same exchange server on the same store), she accepts and I receive the acceptance.

When I open the calendar appointment it says that there have been no responses.

If I send a new meeting request from the same appointment and she accepts it tracks just fine (acceptance is always from a PC not PDA \ Iphone).

It also occasionally does not track using OWA not just from outlook

I also not sure if this is related but a couple of users have mentioned that when inviting an external person and they accept and we receive a meeting acceptance (that is not tracked), it is not being put into the external users outlook

we are running exchange 2007 and outlook 2007 all fully patched.

I’m a bit stumped and even unsure how to go about diagnosing the issue. (exchange shows no errors in the logs)

Turn up the diagnostic logging on calendar then try. What you are seeing is not normal behaviour so something isn't right.

I'd also look at permissions on the calendars to rule that out.

Hi Thanks for the reply.

Permissions apear to be ok, so i'll try some logging (will this be done on the PC's or on the exchange, as it is effecting OWA?).

I'm starting to think it may be the blackberys. We are running BES v5 and i'm trying to see if this only affects people with Blackberrys, as we run outlook in cached mode which their not keen on.

Many thanks

On Exchange.
BBs have no problem with Outlook in cached mode.
Turn up the calendar logging and also check the BB management log.
Shame it isn't 2010 as you can use the calendar diagnostic log :)
