Meet Me

I have a number range setup for Meet Me conferencing, i.e. 20xx
If someone starts a conference on 2001 what will stop another user from starting a conference on the same number?
How will they know that the number is already in use?
Also, how will users get to the meet me conference from an outside line, say their cell phone?
Thanks!

If a meetme is already going on at 2001 and someone tries to setup a new meetme at the exact same extension, they will get a busy signal.

The best way to have outside caller get into the meetme conference is to have them dial in and get the receptionist. The receptionist can transfer them to ext 2001. You can setup a DID for 2001, but there is absolutely no security. I would not setup a DID for any meetme. Keep in mind that meetme can only be setup internaly first.

You need to manage the MeetMe bridges. Think of them like Conference Rooms. Either assign them by Department or have and Admin schedule them.
