We have a number range set aside for meet me numbers. It appears that anyone could dial this number range by accident or otherwise and listen in to the call.
I can't find a way whereby those joining the conversation could enter a PIN first.

Can anyone help?

There is not a way to make them enter a PIN but there is a way to front-end MeetMe with a Unity mailbox that will ask callers for their name and announce who is joining. Search the forum, I'm almost positive I have it posted here somewhere.

I couldn't find it so......

Set up a Call Handler. Under the Transfer option, select Yes, transfer to subscribers extension. That extension should be the meet me number. Select Transfer Type (Supervised. Make sure that you select the announce, confirm and ask callers name under the transfer options. Now, an extenal caller dials the DID, is prompted to state their name. The initiator (and all on the call) hears that there is a call from XXXX, press 1 to accept....

Drawback is anyone already on the call can press 1 and accept the person.

Ahhh interesting - thanks very much for the info pndscm

Planetmaker,

Were you able to get this to work? I followed the instructions PNDSCM posted and had no luck. I am still able to enter the bridge unannounced.

PNDSCM,

IS there something else I am forgetting to do?

Thanks...

It's been a while since I did this. I'm trying to remember how. :) Looking at it, I'd say you need to put the MeetMe number in a Partition only reachable from Unity. Then create a CTI port CFWD All to VMail and put the DN from the CTI Port on the CallHandler. This should force people to go through the CH to get to the MeetMe number. You need to do this for every MeetMe number.

Nope not tried it i'm too busy! Just wanted to ask the question if it was possible so if it works let me know!
