medpro/clan, port network question

I have a set of 8720's with 2 port networks. I have duplicated ipsi's and all tdm phones. I have at least 1 clan and only 1 medpro in each port network. My understanding is this, if I make a call from a tdm phone in port network 1 and the trunk is in port network 2 the then call is converted to ip and back. I know that a clan and medpro are required for ip station calls but are they also required for a call going from 1 port network to another? thanks for the help...Jon

Unless you have fiber connecting the Port Networks, yes, you are using the MedPro resources to go between Port Networks.
