OK what a mess.

The company I do work for has a Toshiba notebook that has Vista installed and the medialess license kit version of office. At the time of purchase we purchased the Office license for it. We have the credit card type thing that has our license on it.

Here is my problem. A HR program that we use could not install on vista. The notebook came with a downgrade version of XP Pro that I had to order. i install the new image of XP but there is no Office installed on it. I download a few different versions of office 2007 we have discs for but it will not take the license code since it is for the medialess license kit.

I call Toshiba and told them that their image does not have the medialess Office on it. They say that it is only for Vista and I have to pay for another Office 2007 Pro license to use on XP. I said that is BS since they sold me a down gradeable computer and the office and since their downgrade image does not have their OEM medialess license that they have to provide me with office. They said no and buy a new Office Pro or go back to Vista.

Has anyone delt with this before? we allready paid over $400 Canadian for Medialess Office 2007 pro, and I should not and do not want to pay for another office license that is on the same computer but different OS.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Matt
