Media Types not available for new tape drive.

Just replaced a HP VS80 DLT drive with a VS160 DLT. New tape drive gone in fine, drivers loaded seemingly OK and Arcserve recognises the new hardware device. The Media Types window in the drive Properties does not show any media types however, and backup jobs will not run. How can I get Arcserve to list and recognise my new VS160 media?

First off ARCserve does not use OS tape device drivers, so the drive should be disabled from within the OS Device Manager.
