I have finally managed to get one of the 3 phasers i have up and semi running..

i got the 850 running after replacing the heater lamps and the upper feed board/wires..

it came up as a 850 dp, so i whipped the hard drive from one of the other machines , and it now reports 850 dx

i kept getting the usual jam as the paper entered the preheat assy, so i was feeding it of manually..

i performed the letter sized clean, and it shot off running some pages, all from the lower tray with no problems...

until i spotted some smears, i ran a diagnostic, and it reported that the media tray was reporting transparnacys selected, please reset.

so i did and then it couldnd find the paper , then it would jam, ARGGGGGGHKKK

please please please... what are the correct setting for the poxy holes on the media tray..

i know the very lower is transparancy setting,

what is the arrangement for the upper two??

one of the settings is giving me jam free printing, i would obviously like to keep that..

is it upper filled=A4
upper open & mid filled=A4

i,m confused allready

Mart

upper filled is letter 8.5 x 11 the transparancy setting the the blue switch. look at the front of the tray and you will see the paper and trans setting dots

Many thanks hip hip hurray!!!

i managed to clear the cleaning cycle and got to a start screen...

i did a test print, but it was pants, odd condidering it was ok yesterday..

i ran a test page, and just about all the lines were missing.

fearing the worst, i ran a cleaning cycle.. thinking i would need loads of cycles to clear it....

the next print came out perfect every line solid!!

i ran the double sided test page and it worked , printing both sides..

i have a very tiny smear, that appears in the print, which i think is a transport issue, (unless a page of a4 fits right round the drum)

i may run a eliminate smears test next time i fire it up..

many thanks

Mart
