Media Pool Rotation

We've been having trouble setting up a rotation scheme for our tape set. We have 10 tapes for our main server which backs up all the other ones, and everything fits onto one. So we keep two weeks worth of data backed up, using 5 day weekly full backup, with GFS enabled. It took a long time but it appears that we are closing in on getting the media pool to schedule the correct tape to be mounted next, but holidays seem to throw things off. We do not have backups running on holidays as nobody is here to mount the next tape. Apparently the media pool doesn't allow for this as it would ask for that tape the next day rather than the tape after (Dec 26th is asking for Monday 12/10 since it didn't use it yet on Dec 24). The retention time for the daily pool is 6 days and the minimum number of tapes in the save set is 7 (two each of M - TR minus today's tape). The manual is completely useless. Bill Zielinski
