media player won't copy?

trying to copy some free midi's off the web onto a cd. Put the midi's in a playlist and copy. Get an error ocurred message. Says my portable device does not support the specified format. Changed file name extension from mid to .wma and still won't work (get the same message) Any suggestions or help? Thank you in advance!

you can't just change extension and turn the file from midi to wav.!!!!!!!! sorry to tell you but media player doesn't support writing mid to audio cd and i thing than non program does.
