Media player audio codecs

hi,

When I try to play any *.asf files I get a error message media player 9 saying that is doesn't have the required audio codec,(You've encountered error message C00D10D1)have tried to play in MEDIA PLAYER 10 still didn't work, any idea would be much appreciated
