I just installed Media Player 9 and now everytime I log in the player opens. I tried looking in the Startup folder but is not there. There is nothing in the options tab to allow me to turn the auto startup off.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Dagwood.

ClicK On start then Run. Type Regedit and click on OK.

Go to the following Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

One of those keys should contain an entry relating to Media Player.

Be careful what you delete though, only delete things you KNOW are not needed.

Any feed back is appreciated.

Is there anything in Msconfig startup items that would bring in Media Player.

Have you altered any Sound Events for Windows Logon?

Thanks gpalmer711.

Found it in the Current_user folder.
