I keep getting this error when i backup. I have made the settings to overwrite all media, but i continue to get this message:

Please insert overwritable media into the drive.

Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media.

My backup runs all night, when i get in to work in the morning it is just sitting there waiting for a reply to the message. Is there a setting that i am missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Mike

Try the following, (I think this is it, I knew it was somewhere and couldn't find it but I think this is what you are after).

Goto

Tools
Options
Media Overwrite Tab

Media Overwrite Protection level - NONE, uncheck the check box if checked, I'm sure you'll know what I mean when you look at it

This should resolve your problem but please be aware it means it will overwrite whatever is inserted :)

Cheers
