Hello everyone,

I have a customer on a R11 500v2 running Voicemail Pro on a Windows server. They purchased Media Manager License. Do we need need to install application server in order to use Media Manager? I have no experience with application server and figured I would start here as the docs are not very helpful on Media manager.

Yes, media manager runs on the application server. You can run the application server in a virtual environment. Just make sure you have a second drive attached to it for MM storage.

AACon,

Thanks for the help. Can Voicemail Pro keep running on the server and only use the virtual app server for Media Manager?

I don't think you can *easily* do this, as the MM is looking for a local folder to pull VRL's from (/opt/vmpro/MM/VRL). I suppose if you are able to setup a file share between them you could get it to work (that's how we used to do it with contact store on a separate server). Not sure if this is documented.
Though, really, you're better off putting vmpro onto the application server. It's going to have to be on one going on 11.1 and forward anyways.
