Hey Everybody,

Looking for a little guidance on taking call recordings from a Physical server to a Virtual Machine.

A little back round:

The system I'm working on was put through a multi stage upgrade from 9.0 to 10, then 10 to 11 and finally from a physical server to virtual server. All went well with the exception of media manager. I made the mistake of pulling a restore after the IP of the physical server was changed. It is still up and on the network but since the IP changed the restore point is not recognized by the new virtual. I opened a ticket with Avaya and they recommended I shutdown the virtual, change the IP of the physical back to the original IP, pull a backup, change the IP back, turn on the virtual, do a restore and see if all recordings are now there. However, at the end of their response, he said if the new calls are missing, I can manually move the new recordings over.

My 3 questions are:

1- Will this work? (They didn't seem very confident in their response)
2- If I can manually move the calls over, couldn't I manually move the old records to the new server and avoid the downtime?
3- What is the procedure to manually move them? (Avaya has not provided a way to do this and I can't find any docs)

The new Media Manager is up and running, the old media manager is up as well. I just can't get the new server to access all recordings. I tried to SFTP the files onto the new server and placed them within the same folder and change the group and privileges to tomcat/tomcat but still no joy.

Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance for any direction. Please let me know if any additional details would help.

Thanks
