Media 100 i Edit Suite crash

I have a user who is using Media 100 i on a Mac to create video clips. When he is at a point where he wants to export the file from Edit Suite it closes the program. Then when he goes to open the program again it gives him a "Could not start the application because the Media 100 i system is locked up.

I am not a Mac user so any help would be greatly appreciated!
