Hi,

I am trying to insert a mean character in a field name e.g. x¯ Alkalinity mgl-1. The character should look like:

x¯ but with the bar over the x rather than after it.

I have searched MS Word fonts thoroughly - not found.

I have also created the symbol in Word's equation editor (worked fine) and tried to copy and paste to the design view of my Access table (the newly created symbol broke into the bits x and ¯).

I have also searched several online discussion groups to no avail.

Any help very much appreciated,
Jobo

Hve you checked the Access Specifications (HelP) to determine if such a character is allowed in an object name?
