What way is better to write code?

Me.txt or Me!txt

I've seen it done both ways and have never thought twice about which way is correct.
 
Me!txt to refer to a control on the form or report. However, you can refer to it simply as txt, since Me is assumed.
 
Generally the dot is used with access properties known at design time and the ! is used for dynamic properties of collections that may not be known until runtime. Intutitively, it seems the dot should be more efficient but that is just my guess since Access would not need to resolve at runtime.
